Inverter systems are more expensive than the classic non inverter, so what is the difference? We get asked this a lot.
Firstly inverter system start up quicker and get to the desired temperature quicker. When the desired temperature is reached an inverter compressor will keep running at varied speeds to maintain the climate.
A non inverter compressor will stop once the set temp is reached and will start up again as it needs to, to get back to the set temp. This means it is not very energy efficient and hence uses more power as it keeps starting up again.
An inverter is generally 30-50% cheaper to run. As it is more expensive initially to purchase you will save money in the long term.
Lastly systems are generally more quiet when running.
